In my THF class about the 1950's we watched The Seven Year Itch (1955) in class and I really loved the introduction. The choreographing of the music with the graphics is very fun. So I thought I would share this terrible quality video of it with you. Enjoy!

Typographic posters

So relating to our visual concepts class, I came across this website with a collection of typographic posters. It is AMAZING what you can do with just type and color. I thought this project was really boring, but if I can master how to get my point across using these type of methods, boring would be the farthest word from my mind.

Page Spreads

Even though we cannot use images on our current spreads, this website shows a lot of ways in which you can make the title have its own meaning. Some of the spreads are cool, while others not so much, but I just thought some of the titles were inspiring.

This designer's website also has a wide variety of page layouts. There are a lot of examples on how to use lines throughout the page in order to group items together. She also does a great job at using different text sizes and spacing.

Logos

I found this website that lists a bunch of different logos for magazines and newspapers. It's pretty cool to just flip through them and see how similar, yet how different, each paper has made their logo.
